My name is Courtney Shareck. I have been teaching first grade at Charlottesville Catholic School for 2 years. I LOVE first grade! They grow and learn so much in first grade.
I attended college at Old Dominion University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree. I Then attended Mary Baldwin University to obtain my collegiate teacher's licensure. I love school so much that right after I obtained my licensure I went back to school to learn about Orton-Gillingham Multisensory approach to reading instruction. I have found that utilizing this method helps all students be more successful in reading.
I'm married to a wonderfully patient, supportive, kind husband Mike. Between the two of us, we have 6 kids ( ALL GIRLS!). I'm very blessed with a wonderful beautiful Christ-centered life. Two of our girls attend CCS, and love it! Our other girls attend Charlottesville City Schools. At home, I have a silly Goldendoodle named Izzie (1year old), 4 chickens ( right now), and an old cranky cat named Angel. In my free time, I enjoy rollerblading, snow skiing, horseback riding, tennis, and traveling. As a family, you can find us having bible studies and playing board games when we are all together.
